Moby’s in East Hampton, the popular dining hotspot on Montauk Highway, has returned to the Hamptons this summer season. Restaurant partners Nick Hatsatouris and Lincoln Pilcher welcome Chef Mark Ladner as Culinary Director of Moby’s in East Hampton. Chef Ladner curates one seriously good, sizzling summer menu, including homemade wood-fired pizzas, pastas, seafood and seasonal vegetable dishes with coastal Italian vibes.
Moby’s menu includes bright vegetable antipasti, fresh pasta made in-house daily, pizzas from the wood-burning oven, local seafood and a selection of house-made ice cream.
James Beard Award-Winning Chef Mark Ladner focuses strongly on highlighting his selection of beautiful local vegetables. His antipasti selection, for example, includes roasted mushrooms with spinach and rosemary, vinegar marinated zucchini with mint and black pepper, and cucumber with smashed avocado and cilantro.
Ladner also brings over twenty years of pasta-making experience to Moby’s kitchen. He serves a variety of new handmade pastas. Menu favorites include the classics like Cacio e Pepe to his own creations like a lighter take on eggplant lasagna with his “Summer Lasagna”. A particular guest favorite is the Fusilli Marinara-Pesto.
The Small Plates are all a huge hit with restaurant guests. These include Tuna Crudo, Whipped Ricotta, and Burrata. For the Vegetable Plates, the favorites are the Warm Chickpeas: taggiasca olives, salted capers, and fried rosemary.
Moby’s has a very family friendly menu. Children are huge fans of their pizzas and pasta dishes. The waitstaff works very efficiently together. The wait time is little to none so the kids may start eating right away.
Guest chef collaborations and pop-ups will continue throughout the summer season.
Ordering pickup? Moby’s offers a selection of five bottled cocktails including the Spicy Margarita, Rum Punch, Negroni and ‘Gansett Sunset. ‘Gansett Sunset is crafted with fresh watermelon, Aperol, gin, and lemon juice.
Moby’s also offers house-made Limoncello and a Take-home Tequila or Mezcal Service featuring special bottles and accoutrements.
For guests dining outside at the restaurant, Moby’s offers their signature cocktails, along with a full wine and beer list. Cocktails are available individually or to share (1 liter). Frozen cocktails like the Frozen Margarita and the Piña Colada are perfect for cooling off while winding down a hot summer’s day.
The restaurant also boasts the new Moby’s Market that opened last month. The food and lifestyle shop offers a range of items that echo the restaurant’s relaxed summertime ambiance. Pantry items like pastas and sauces, spreads and dips, house infused olive oil are sold. Entertaining essentials, kitchen linens, and aprons are also available.
The fashion and lifestyle collections includes swimwear and accessories, skin and body care, ceramics, and rugs.
Hours & Information
The restaurant property boasts a sprawling outdoor garden with ample picnic table seating. There is a fire bit, bocce court, and many other lawn games. Easily spend the whole evening relaxing and sipping cocktails at Moby’s by the fire in between playing games with family and friends.
Moby’s East Hampton is currently open Wednesday-Monday for dinner from 4-10pm (closed Tuesdays). Outdoor and indoor seating is available. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended.
Curbside pickup is also available. Orders for curbside pick-up may be placed online.
