Memorial Day Weekend has finally arrived. This famous weekend in the Hamptons usually revolves around celebrating the beginning of the season with galas, backyard dinner parties, and day trips to the beach. However, for now due to COVID-19, we must continue to socially distance ourselves and celebrate at home. These Hamptons restaurants are ready to serve you via curbside takeout, pickup, or delivery. Continue to help support local restaurants by ordering out throughout the summer 2020 season.
Restaurants listed are located between Southampton and Montauk.
This summertime mainstay is open for the season beginning Thursday, May 21st for curbside takeout. On the menu is Tuna Tartare, Crispy Fish Tacos, our favorite Lobster Rigatoni (available in half and full sizes), Sesame Crusted Tuna, the Vegan Bowl made with kale and chickpeas, and more.
Orders are taken between 3:30-7pm. Pickup is available between 5-7:30pm on Thursday and Monday. Pickup Friday-Sunday is between 5-8:30pm. The restaurant plans to go seven days and add lunch service in early June for the Hamptons summer season. 631-725-7088.
The Clam Bar
The Clam Bar is now open for takeout and delivery for lunch and early dinner. A limited menu is available. Menu items include the Grilled Tuna Sandwich, Tuna Bites, Clam Strips, Steamers, the Lobster BLT, and one of our favorite Lobster Salad Rolls, among others. Beer and wine is also available.
Orders must be placed online and payment will be accepted with credit card only. Pick up will be contactless and patrons will be notified via text or phone call when their order is ready. Delivery will be available within the town of East Hampton. Currently, the Clam Bar is open Friday-Monday from 11:30am-6pm. More hours will be added in the future. 631-267-6348
Claude’s at Southampton Inn
Claude’s Restaurant has reopened for the Hamptons summer season. Claude’s signature offering is the Great American Picnic. These picnic baskets will be filled with individually wrapped sandwiches, salads, home made cookies and brownies, whole fruits, bagged chips, and bottled beverages.
At the restaurant, tables will be covered with paper. The tables are at least 6 feet apart and spread throughout the cafe, the ballroom, the beautifully planted outdoor courtyard, the pool patio, and on several acres of lawns. Hours are 7-11am for their classic Claude’s carry-out breakfast, and 12-7pm for our All American Picnic or carry-out lunch. Duryea’s opened for the season just a couple of weeks ago. New this season is a pop-up in the Farmer’s Market of Marie Eiffel Fashion. Duryea’s Lobster Deck’s classic menu returns with old favorites and new dishes. These include the Greek Melon Salad, Baked Cherry Stone Clams, White Gazpacho, Grilled 3lb Octopus, 2lb Market Fish, and more.
Following Memorial Day, Duryea’s and its market will be open seven days a week. 631-668-2410
Hooked opened on Friday, May 15th. Open for lunch and dinner to go, Hooked has a variety of seafood, salads, and more on their menu, including some great healthy options. Our favorite healthy options, for instance, are the Beet & Baby Arugula Salad and the Hooked House Salad make with kale, quinoa, and orange segments.
Seafood favorites include the Tom Lob, a vine ripened tomato stuffed with lobster salad, the Tuna Poke Bowl, and of course locally dug Montauk Pearl Oysters. 631-668-2111
La Fondita is open for the season Friday-Tuesday. The restaurant serves traditional Mexican food. Customer favorites include the Summer Style Burrito de Camarones, Carnitas Tacos, Taco de Pescado, and Carne Asada.

The Lobster Roll aka LUNCH
The Lobster Roll, also known as Lunch, opened for its 55th season on Friday, May 15th. Open for lunch and dinner from 11am-7pm, The Lobster Roll is famous of course for their classic Lobster Salad Roll served with their creamy coleslaw. A mini option is their Lobster Salad Slider. We also love their homemade Creamy New England Clam Chowder. For ‘dessert lovers only’, irresistible choices include their homemade pies and Andrea’s cupcakes. We particularly love the “Lunch” Cupcake, a vanilla cupcake topped with Andrea’s homemade buttercream frosting and decorated with a gummy lobster, perfect for celebrating the start of the Hamptons summer season.

Silver Lining Diner
Silver Lining Diner opened for the season on Wednesday, May 20th. Dishes on the menu include a variety of sandwiches like their Lobster Roll, Brisket sandwich, and Turkey Club. Main plates include Harbor Fluke, The Hampton Clambake, and BBQ Ribs. Their signature packages for takeout and delivery include the Beach Box and BBQ Box. The Beach Box, for example, includes a leafy green salad, buttermilk fried chicken with sides, and key lime pie. There is 4-person minimum for ordering these boxes.
Takeout and delivery is available from 4-8pm. Essential workers and first responders receive 10% off when showing their ID. Call in and place your order as early as 12pm each day. 631-901-1800
Open daily for dinner from 4-8:30pm. Breakfast is served Wednesday-Sunday beginning at 8:30am. Yama Q also offers regular nightly specials. Their health-focused menu includes traditional Japanese cuisine, with beer, wine, and sake also available. Their most recent special included their summer rolls. These are the Mango, avocado, red leaf lettuce, beets, and cucumber roll; and their Nappa cabbage slaw roll with house spicy peanut sauce. Back by popular demand, they are now offering chipotle mayo by the half pint for $8.
