A Virtual Wine & Cheese Tasting in Honor of American Cheese Month

On, Sunday, May 31st, celebrate the start of the season at home with a virtual wine and cheese tasting with some of New York’s finest small businesses.

Each May while we are busy spring cleaning, preparing for the end of school, enjoying the warmer weather, and dreaming of the summer days ahead we also celebrate American Cheese Month. This month-long celebration strives to showcase the artisan cheese world. There are events held across the country showcasing the wonder of American made, small batch, artisanal cheese.

“American Cheese Month is a grassroots celebration of North America’s delicious and diverse cheeses, and the farmers, cheesemakers, retailers, cheesemongers, and chefs who bring them to your table” says the Cheese Society.

In addition to this month-long celebration with the effects of COVID-19 affecting businesses across the country and the world, we have seen more and more events shift to the digital space. “Now more than ever, it is important to support local businesses,” said Suhru Wines Shelby Hearn. “We are very proud to be partnering with two award-winning New York small businesses to celebrate American Cheese Month.”
