To celebrate Charlie’s 18th birthday, Patricia Field and Lara Eurdolian hosted an extravagant birthday bash in honor of Charlie King. The beloved senior rescue dog and children’s book character was celebrated on April 15th in New York, New York at Flying Soho.
Pups dressed to the max were walked across the runway by known names including Peggy Z from Selling the Hamptons and KhrystyAna from America’s Next Top Model.
Raising Awareness for Senior Rescue Pups
Not only was the runaway show a birthday party for senior Charlie, but an event to raise awareness for senior rescue dogs. The show featured pups dressed in pieces from Patricia Field’s “Kiss the Dogs NYC” collection. With iconic looks from Carrie Bradshaw and Emily Cooper, it is only right to say that Patricia Field dressed the pups in amazing pieces!
The event was also to celebrate Charlie at the Pom Springs Hotel. Charlie’s children’s book Charlie at the Pom Springs Hotel just recently hit number one on Amazon. This book supports animal adoption efforts where a percentage of the profits are being donated to shelters and welfare services.
KhrystyAna was the runaway host where she assisted the rescue pups in strutting down the catwalk in their unique fashion pieces. Tony and Grammy Award-nominated actress and singer Orfeh sang a rendition of “Happy Birthday” to Charlie for all the pups to celebrate his birthday, along with having a birthday cake from Axel & Tia.
Treats, Sips & More for the Humans
Human guests, on the other hand, enjoyed food and refreshments from brands including Williamsburg Pizza, Baked by Melissa, Soiree, Coca-Cola, Vitamin Water, and more.
This exciting event to celebrate so much raised awareness for rescue pups was a hit among guests! Not only did they get to see the pups walk the runway in pieces but could also have books signed by Patricia Field and Laura Eurdolian as well as purchase Field’s “Kiss the Dogs NYC” collection.
