A Secluded Tuscan Escape at Hotel Le Fontanelle

hotel le fontanelle tuscany italy review

If you have ever dreamed of visiting the Chianti region of Tuscany, this is where the doors open up. Hotel Le Fontanelle, perched on the picturesque hilltop in Castelnuovo Berardenga, may very well be one of the most beautiful hotel destinations in Italy.

As if plucked from a storybook, this charming Tuscan hotel was reborn after a meticulous renovation project of this once abandoned farmhouse filled with rich history, not-to-be-forgotten. In fact, the hotel lobby has a photo album that details the before and after photos of the full renovation process.

Jump to present day and Hotel Le Fontanelle overlooks a lush stretch of vibrantly hued vineyards. The hotel itself is graced with romantic terra-cotta patios, olive groves, pomegranate trees, and of course the ornamental bougainvillea cascading across the stone walls. As if the property could not get any more beautiful, the outdoor pool surrounding by a stretch of green lawn, the neighboring villa, and kilometers of walking/jogging trails seal this generous parcel of paradise.
