South Seas Island Resort offers spacious accommodations with a classic island décor. Each of the 434 guestrooms, villas, and private residences are within an easy walking distance to nearby activities, including the pools, beach, eateries, golf course, and more.

Each guestroom features a private balcony with calming views of the marina or Pine Island Sound. The bathrooms have a flat screen TV, refrigerator, ironing set, and coffeemaker. Suites offer a king-size bed, and sitting area with a sleeper sofa.

The Water View Harbourside Hotel Guestrooms offer a more open floor plan. Each of the 30 guestrooms evoke a gorgeous color palette of blues and whites with pops of nature elements.

Find all sorts of delights across the resort property and on Captiva Island from a surf shack on the beach to a 1950’s themed diner.

Cap off a day at the beach at the appropriately named Attitudes Beach Bar & Latitudes Food Shack. This restaurant offers Mexican-inspired cuisine and casual fare, paired with beach cocktails and live music. Guests of all ages look forward to the festive Sunset Celebration on Sunset Beach every night and sundown, weather permitting.

Scoops & Slices is a 1950’s themed diner at North Pointe Village. This fun, photogenic diner serves a selection of pizza, ice cream, frozen yogurt, and a floor-to-ceiling candy wall selection.

Harborside Bar & Grill offers a seafood-centric menu that also includes a menu of steaks, chops and pasta. The menu also includes an extensive artisan cocktail, beer, spirits, and wine menu. All artisan cocktails are made on-the-spot while mixers are hand-pressed, then blended and sprits are infused in-house.

The iconic Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille serves Caribbean-inspired specialties. These dishes include the original Doc’s Beach Bread, Island Style Shrimp & Grits and the new Macadamia Nut Crusted Grouper.

Golf

Experience a magnificent 9-hole par-27 beachfront golf course along the Gulf of Mexico. Beachfront golf along the Gulf of Mexico. It is ranked as one of the “Top
Five Short Courses” in the world. Tee time reservations are available between 8am and 2:30pm, seven days a week.

Tennis

The Blackwood Tennis Academy features 11 courts with tennis instruction for everyone of all levels. Amenities include tennis concierge, private instruction, clinics, and more.

Private tennis lessons may be booked for half hour or hour timeslots, with the first available lesson timeslot beginning at 8am.

Pickleball

Ever wanted to try pickleball? Make your vacation experience at South Seas Island Resort the place to begin your pickleball journey!

Pickleball courts are open 7 days a week beginning at 11am or later. Groups and private lessons are available for guests. Paddles and Balls are available for rent.

Watersports

Watersports available at South Seas Island Resort include parasailing, kayaking, SUP paddleboarding, jet skiing, and much more with Sunny Island Adventures. These water activities are available to book daily from 9am-5pm.

Start or finish your day with a yoga class at the resort’s new studio, Ambu Yoga. Outdoor yoga classes on the ocean lawn are also available. Daily yoga classes are available for booking.

Start your day in the early morning with a walk or run on one of their four scenic trails. The trails run within the resort’s private grounds and stretch from one tip of Captiva Island to the other.

Programs for Children

South Seas Island Resort has a number of activities for children, including their Sanibel Sea School. Sanibel Sea School is a non-profit organization that offers experiential sea-based education programs and exploration of Captiva Island. This is perfect for children who wish to become fully immersed in this Gulf Coast region.

Marine programs are available for children of all ages. These programs include Birdwatching, Shelling, and much more. Advanced registration is required.
