The Connecticut Taco Festival offers guests a chance to vote for Connecticut’s “Top Taco.” This year’s competition will feature the Birria-style taco. The taco is prepared as marinated meat, guajillo, ancho, and chipotle peppers are slowly cooked over low heat. The slow-cooked stock is then used to fry the tacos and offered alongside them for dipping.

A Taco Eating contest is also taking place at 3 pm. The fastest competitor to eat 10 tacos will be awarded a $100 cash prize. Space is limited for this contest. Early registration is recommended.
